This course is intended for students to get to know British football culture throughout Great Britain. The PS deals with different topics surrounding football, such as e.g.:(Women's) Premier League, Scottish Premiership, and EFL Championshipseveral clubs/players/managers from those leaguesBritish football in film and pop cultureFootball and languageMedial coverage (Iconic) rivalriesHooliganismNational teamsThe main objective is to give students an understanding of why football is so popular on the British Isles (and addressing the question of whether or not football is an invention of the English) by covering those different topics (and more).
