Prüfungsmethode/n
After the work placement and no later than during the following semester, students are required to write a work placement report and to give a presentation about the work placement. The presentation of the work placement must be held in English and should last 30 to 45 minutes. The date/time are agreed between supervisor and student. If two students plan to do their presentation within, e.g., a week, it would be good to have it within one event. The presentation can take place during the holidays, but it should be "close" to the semester. I.e., first half of July or September is ok.As soon as the date is fixed, the student sends the following information to mathematik-lehre@aau.at, asking Mirjam Jonk or Marie Biedermann to send out the invitation: title of talk, date, time, duration, room, abstract, supervisor. Examples of invitations (direct downloads of PDF files): www.math.aau.at/talks/69/pdf,www.math.aau.at/talks/66/pdf, www.math.aau.at/talks/61/pdf, www.math.aau.at/talks/51/pdfThe supervisor or colleagues from the company can be invited to the presentation. The report should be written in English. However, if the company also requires some kind of report and that is written in German, it makes sense to re-use it.The course grading scheme is: participated with/without success.
