Students will learn about translation theory and its history & relevant terminology relating to the field; be able to identify and analyze translation problems/errors (specifically between German and English); and be able to describe the translation process and the role of the translator.

Moodle-based written examination based on readings, PowerPoint slides, and lectures.

In general, students should be familiar with the theories, terminology, and persons discussed in the course.The first sitting of the exam will take place in the last regularly scheduled class session. A passing grade of at least sixty percent of the material on the final examination is required to pass this course. This percentage may change marginally based on changes to exam questions/types/points.
