Basic knowledge on the physical design of robots.

This course involves lectures, hands on training to software tools, and robot building exercise with active feedback and supervision.

Introducton to 3D Design (CAD) for the robot bodyIntroduction to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for electronic components of the robt.Introduction to components for the control of robots (microcontrollers etc.)Introduction to common sensors and actuators and corresponding interfaces for simple robotsSelection of components based on functional requirements, component specifications, costs, etc.

This course and the course "Robotics Competetions and Evaluations" are complementary, students are advised to enroll to both the courses.
