This course aim to provide a practical experience in data analysis using cases from integrative human-physical geographical problems.

The methods are various to enhance the understanding of the topic: -Introductory presentations to the theme-Introductory presentation to a case study-Guidance through the structure and methodic to solve specific problem(s)-Instructions on how to write a seminar work in applied science
Inhalt/e
The topic of these course is the analysis of spatial geographical data: sampling design, prediction of missing data and unmeasured information of discrete variables, mapping, multi-criteria analysis. Students will use Excel or R or ArcGIS depending on the experience of the group.
Erwartete Vorkenntnisse
You should have a basic knowledge how to work with figures and data in Excel
Literatur
Some literature will be suggested in class and the rest has to be provided by the students.
