After the course, the students should have a principal understanding of the relevant principal theories in studies of sustainable mobility behaviour. Furthermore, students should be able understand, evaluate and apply insights from papers in the course (e.g., aim and design of the study, methodology behind the survey and evaluation of the data using scientifically based tools) and should also be able to discuss limitations and learnings in their presentations and to meaningfull interact in debate with their fellow students. In addition, students will develop their skills regarding project management, presentations (e.g. design and structure of content, presentation, etc.) and documentation & evaluation. Documentation of the inputs will be given in form of a presentation (group work) as well as a seminar paper (individual work).
Inhalt/e
The course puts a strong emphasis on behavioural determinants of sustainable mobility behaviour and travel mode choice and builds on a selection of seminal papers in this research domain. Based on this literature input students students will acquaint themselves with central theoretical pillars in the research domain, while gatherig a first understanding with respect to reading, understanding and processing scientific literature.
