Students acquire knowledge on a variety of strategic, tactical, and operational planning problems in logistics management. Relevant optimization problems will be introduced, formulated mathematically, and selected solution methods (exact and heuristic) will be presented.Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify and classify optimization problems related to logistics applications. They understand the mathematical models for these problems and are able to select suitable methods for solving them. For small instances of these problems, students will be able to generate solutions using the methods presented.
