Lecture review of ethical guidelines, discussions, written assignments

The course examines ethical guidelines for research with human subjects. Each ethical guideline will be reviewed (e.g., APA ethical code, WMA Declaration of Helsinki) as well as guidelines for data protection in research studies (e.g., GDPR, 2018).There will be an opportunity to receive detailed feedback on participants’ current research projects (theses, dissertations, other research projects).

Grading will be based on active participation (75% attendance) and submission of written assignments during the semester related to ethical aspects in research.
