Prüfungsmethode/n
The course will be assessed via marked exercise classes. Approximately every second week (a schedule will be placed on Moodle) will be an exercise class where students will be randomly selected based on their problem selections on the online "kreuzeliste" to present solutions on the board for marks. A presented solution will be given a mark out of 4. The marking will have two components: Selection Points (SP) and Presentation Points (PP). SP = (total number of selected problems on kreuzeliste)/(total number of possible problems to select)*6PP = (total obtained marks from presentations)/(total number of presentations)Your final mark will be x = SP + PP, and allocated as:x < 5: Final mark 55 <= x < 6: Final mark 46 <= x < 7: Final mark 37 <= x < 8: Final mark 28 <= x: Final mark 1Some terms and conditions:If SP*PP < SP+PP, your mark will rather be calculated as x = min(SP*PP, SP+PP) - this is to prevent selection of all problems with no understanding of the solutions. If you are selected to present a problem and then refuse to present, all SP and PP obtained during that problem session will be removed. Additionally, if this happens more than once, your SP+PP for the semester will be halved. If you are caught cheating (e.g. copying solutions without understanding), your SP+PP for the semester will be halved. A minimum mark of 2.5 for SP and of 2 for PP are required to pass the course.
