This course goes hand in hand with the lecture “Design of digital Circuits” and repeats and deepens the topics. The focus lies on practically working on problems involving Boolean Algebra, optimizing digital circuits and logical expressions as well as working with finite state machines. Students get a hands-on-training in understanding logical problems, designing and implementing an appropriate solution and testing the solution against correctness.Topics are:Boolean Algebra, Logic Standard Forms, Transformation of Boolean equationsMinimization and optimizing of logical circuitsDesign of combinational circuitsDesign of sequential circuitsWorking with a simulation tool to implement and test logical circuits
