Students will develop a systematic understanding of key concepts in international trade and international monetary economics. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be equipped to correctly assess and interpret relevant policy developments, including those involving economic (dis)integration and protectionism.

Lecture along the textbook by Krugman/Obstfeld/Melitz. Additional topical material from the Financial Times and The Economist will be provided to highlight the practical relevance of the subject.
