Course Requirements and Grades: • 40% Midterm test (vocabulary, grammar, content questions from assignments)• 50% Final exam (vocabulary, grammar, content questions from assignments)• 10% Oral Component (discussion of readings, class contributions)Note:• you must participate in all of the above componentsTests:• are cumulative (i.e. material from test 1 can reoccur on test 2)• pass grade on final exam required in order to pass the classPlagiarism policy:Plagiarism refers to the use of intellectual material produced by another person without acknowledging its source. Plagiarism is a serious offence and students may receive an overall failing grade for this course if they submit plagiarised work (this includes the use of ChatGPT and other generative AI tools).
