Participants will get insights on the complex relation between language, culture and thought.They will acquire key concepts and important notions that will allow them to analyse language taking into account its cognitive and cultural dimensions.

In class, we will consider and critically discuss the core literature that looks at the interconnectedness of language, culture and thought. We will explore the nature of meaning as mental representation, cultural habit and linguistic practice.
