The aim of this course is to examine how intersectional feminism, widely discussed within the feminist context of the 21st century, has been thematised and dealt with in contemporary British feminist drama. Towards this end, selected representative plays will be closely analysed and discussed in class with focus on the issues of race, class, gender and oppression. At the end of the course, it is expected that students have developed an understanding of intersectional feminism and can critically evaluate the literary texts they have been exposed to.
