After a general introduction to the topic, the individual topics are worked out and then presented and discussed.

This seminar provides the students with an overview of the Olfactory System, the odor perception and its effects at behavioral and neural levels. In particular, we discuss the recent literature providing evidence that, even though olfaction in humans is a sensory dimension that is often underestimated, it plays a crucial role in shaping human behavior, physiology and social interaction.

Positive completion of the course "EF in die kognitiven Neurowissenschaften A" or "EF in die kognitiven Neurowissenschaften B"If the number of available places is exceeded, places will be allocated according to study progress (§10 point 3).

Scientific papers will be provided by the lecturer.
